Code Mountain LLC ("Code Mountain," "we," "us," or "our") is a fractional AI leadership consultancy headquartered in Golden, Colorado. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit codemtn.io or engage our services.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly. When you complete the AI Snapshot quiz or contact us, we may collect your name, work email address, company name, job title, and any context you voluntarily share about your business situation.

Automatically collected information. We collect standard server logs including IP addresses (hashed before storage), browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for aggregate usage analysis. Neither service receives personally identifiable information from us beyond what they collect independently.

Cookies. We use essential session cookies and analytics cookies. You can disable analytics cookies via your browser settings without affecting site functionality.

To deliver your AI Snapshot results and follow up if you request it
To send you AI adoption insights if you opt in, you can unsubscribe at any time
To understand how visitors use our site and improve it
To evaluate whether an engagement is a fit before a discovery call
To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, ever
We do not share your information with data brokers
We do not use your information to train AI models without explicit written consent
We do not retain quiz responses longer than necessary for the purposes described above

5. Client engagement data

During a paid engagement, we may access client systems, data, and confidential business information solely to deliver agreed services. We do not retain, copy, or use client data beyond the scope of the engagement. All client data handling is governed by the applicable Statement of Work and, where required, a Data Processing Agreement.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services on this site:

Google Analytics, aggregate traffic analysis (Google Privacy Policy)
Microsoft Clarity, session heatmaps and UX analysis (Microsoft Privacy Statement)
Calendly, scheduling for qualified prospects (their privacy policy governs data you submit to Calendly directly)

7. Data retention

We retain quiz results and contact information for up to 24 months from the date of collection, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. Anonymous, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage, hashed IP addresses, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via email if you have opted in to our list.
